About Our Office

Dr. Matthew Vogel took over Gresham Smile Designs in January 2019 from his childhood dentist, Dr. Daniel Ries. Dr. Vogel spent many hours of his childhood in Dr. Ries’s office while he and his siblings finished up routine dental visits which sparked his interest in dentistry at a young age. After he graduated from dental school in 2014, he reached out to Dr. Daniel Ries to ask what his retirement plans and they kept in contact through the years until Dr. Daniel Ries was ready to retire. He hopes to continue the same amazing quality of dentistry and warm, friendly atmosphere that Dr. Ries created for over 30 years.

We are located in a professional building that contains medical specialists, dental specialists, and an optometrist. Just off Eastman Parkway and Burnside, our address is 1201 SE 223rd Ave, Suite 140 in Gresham, OR.

Meet the Doctor

An Oregon native, Matthew Vogel grew up in Portland and went to the University of Oregon for his undergraduate degree in Biology and Human Physiology with minors in Business and Chemistry. He then went on to Oregon Health Sciences University for his doctorate degree in Dental Medicine where he graduated with high honors. Dr. Matthew Vogel, a premiere dentist In Gresham Oregon, has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry since 2014.

Dr. Vogel lives in Gresham with his wife and son. His passion is for his family and providing the best dental care to his patients in the most comfortable and accommodating way possible. Dr. Vogel’s hobbies include snowboarding, golfing, and hiking.
